Build accuracy before speed
A practical routine for fewer mistakes and a steadier rhythm.
Start with a comfortable pace
Choose a short passage and type slowly enough to notice each mistake. Keep your shoulders relaxed and avoid chasing the live speed number. A careful baseline is more useful than a fast result full of corrections.
Practice the difficult parts
After a test, look at the letters and words you missed. Repeat a short set of those words, then return to a full passage. Type them correctly at a manageable speed before trying to accelerate.
Use comparable tests
Keep the language, duration and accent settings the same when comparing results. An easy list of words and a paragraph with punctuation are different tasks. A custom document is useful practice, but it should not be compared directly to a standard test.
Try a simple ten-minute session
Spend two minutes warming up, three minutes on difficult words, three minutes on a complete passage, and two minutes reviewing. Stop if your hands feel uncomfortable. Consistency matters more than squeezing in another attempt.
Understand your score
TypingPilot calculates WPM from correctly positioned characters divided by five and divided by minutes. Accuracy includes every entered character, even if you later correct it. Aim to improve both measures over similar sessions.
Put it into practice.
Take a test, review your results, and find your next small improvement.
